   The Gamma Delta series of Deep Space stations was inaugurated in 2257, after the end of the Four Years War with the Klingon Empire. They serve the same monitoring and early warning mission as the Earth Outposts along the Federation side of the Romulan Neutral Zone. They have a crew of 43—7 officers and 36 petty officers and ratings. The central Command module is 35.75m in diametre, with nine decks, while the three subsidiary modules (Science, Defense and Diplomatic) are 19.35m in diametre each and have six decks.
